Scenario
A fading celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. There’s nothing scarier than being human, and these films explore the utterly inhuman ways our bodies can betray us. From the chilling to the daring, here are five body horror movies you might have missed. Ray Liotta was cast in the film in February 2022, but died in May of that year before he could shoot his scenes. Dennis Quaid replaced him, but Liotta is still mentioned in the director’s Acknowledgments.

The dressing mirror reappears intact after being repeatedly smashed during the fight.. Elizabeth Sparkle: There was a slight abuse of the substance.. Special thanks in the credits are given to the many extras in the theater scene who were all in blood.. According to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) website, the version of The Substance that was released theatrically in the United Kingdom was not cut (a total of 141 minutes and 7 seconds), but the version released for home media, was shortened by about three seconds (running a total of 141 and 4 seconds). The BBFC has not specified what the cuts are..
I love the cinematography
Pump It Up Written by Michael Hall, Leonardo Stella Performed by Earl Gregory Produced by Julien Deguin. Getting old is not a bad thing. It could have been great. The quick shots, close-ups, tension-building sounds and vivid colors are sick. This is a very elegant style.
The story is in some ways truly original
Demi Moore, Dennis Quaid and Margaret Qualley are great in The Substance. At some points it seems like Requiem for a dreamer (but a worse and hot version). For example, with the close-ups, the quick separation of the two stories, and of course the disgusting needle marks. But the film has enough power on its own. Maybe I’ll see it again and go out in the last 20 minutes.
What was the purpose?
