You don’t really get into his predicament
Scenario
An anthology series about high-profile crimes or killers who captured the public’s attention and gained notoriety. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says they had one rule that Ryan Murphy [Creator] had to follow before starting the series: that it would never be told from Dahmer’s point of view. “As an audience, you don’t really feel for him.
It appears in Jeremy Vine: Episode #5195 (2022)
You’re more of a, you know, outsider.” A 3M Command(TM) strip is shown in the kitchen of Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment in many episodes, with the latest being 1991. 3M debuted its first wave of Command(TM) products in 1996. Evan Peters seriously overdid it here.
The cinematography and music were also impressive
His acting was top notch and his portrayal of Dahmer, from his attire to his facial expressions, everything was perfect, everything was perfect, right down to the last minute of detail. And apart from him, the performances of the other cast members (his father, mother, grandmother, Glenda Cleveland and the victims) were also excellent. The writing and screenplay were also decent, especially the fact that they didn’t take too many creative liberties and thus the story ended up being close to the real events.
But overall, it’s a must-see
The only thing I found slightly disappointing was the length. The pacing was a bit slow, especially in the last few episodes, and I feel that the series could have easily been wrapped up in 8 episodes instead of 10. Especially for those who are into the crime genre.
And that’s what makes it a bit unique and interesting to watch
It’s a realistic look at one of the most notorious serial killers in our history, where they didn’t romanticize him, but instead pointed out those who tend to do so.
