Scenario
After his release from prison, Mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unusual characters. Sylvester Stallone’s first leading role in a television series. Dwight “The General” Manfredi: I really don’t go to church.

The opening credits show various photographic and painted vistas and landmarks of Oklahoma superimposed on the New York City landscape: A statue of the Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds” wearing a war bonnet and bone breastplate, superimposed on the Brooklyn Bridge. The Western Gateway Arch on Route 66, superimposed on one of Manhattan’s major “avenues”. In New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, there are several numbered “avenues”.

which are interspersed with smaller streets with smaller numbers.. Sylvester Stallone’s rocking, old-school, badass acting style fits this show perfectly. From narrating to cruising around Tulsa, it just shows that this role is perfect for him.
Also, portraying a guy his age and with his style definitely helps fit in perfectly
As for the show, the build up in the first two episodes was great and moved along pretty quickly. It will be interesting towards the end of the season to see how well and what big twists they have prepared. In the meantime, if you’re a Sly fan, you definitely have to give this show a chance, and even if you’re not, I would still recommend it for the gangster series..
