VMware Workstation enables technical professionals to develop, test, demonstrate and deploy software by running multiple x86-based Windows, Linux and other operating systems simultaneously on the same computer.
You can replicate server, desktop, and tablet environments in a virtual machine and allocate multiple CPU cores, gigabytes of main memory, and graphics memory to each virtual machine, whether the VM resides on a PC or in a private enterprise cloud.

Fixed issues
The following issues were resolved in VMware Workstation 11.1.
A Linux guest OS booted on EFI firmware sometimes fails to respond to the keyboard and mouse if mouse movement has occurred during a short period of time during OS boot. This problem is solved.
Outlook 2010 sometimes crashes when running in Unity mode. This problem is solved.
You cannot compact or defragment a persistent disk. This problem is solved.
The user interface sometimes crashes when a user copies and pastes a file between two Windows guests. This problem is solved.
Fixed rendering crash in UI elements in Fedora 20 guest with 3D enabled.
When creating a new virtual machine with SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) 12, the easy install path was not available. This problem is solved.
